Learn How the SnowmobileSRD
Can Save Your Life.
Are you aware that snowmobiling is enjoyed by over 2 million people in North America alone? But with any activity there are always injuries. Snowmobile injuries are a growing concern in the community and it's understandable why. Today's snowmobiles can travel at speeds over 140 kilometers (90mph) per hour and can weigh in excess of 270 kilograms (600 lbs). These factors contribute to result in approximately 200 deaths and 14,000 injuries annually. Approximately 25% of snowmobile fatalities have been linked to snowmobiles breaking through ice.
The Snowmobile Safety & Recovery Device is specially designed to help reduce injuries and even deaths associated with frozen waterway accidents. In addition to saving lives this device is a salvage and recovery tool.
How Does It Work
"...specially designed to help reduce injuries and even deaths..."
SAFETY FIRST
Breaking through an icy surface is a harrowing experience. Getting to safety quickly is of paramount importance. If the Snowmobile SRD becomes submerged it automatically releases the inflatable bladder which floats to the surface. The easy to see floatation can be used to guide you to safety and the ice pick(s) attached to the floatation device can be used to help you climb out of the hole to a solid surface.
Once you're safe, you can begin to think about recovering your valuable property.
RECOVERY
The floatation device is attached to your snowmobile via a tether. This tether can be used to tow your snowmobile out of the ice and onto solid ground. Being able to recover your snowmobile quickly as opposed to leaving your equipment submerged for an extended time will prevent further damage and save you a fortune in repairs.
RESUABLE
The SnowmobileSRD can be re-packed and re-used, ready for the next time the unthinkable happens.
