Mission Statement

To supply the global market with a new more effective patented method of extinguishing fires.

The Situation

The negative effects of fire include hazard to life and property, atmospheric pollution, and water contamination. Extinguishing fires is of the utmost importance to prevent these negative effects Ideally a fire suppressant system should provide safe efficient reliable means for suppressing fires. Thus a need exists for a reliable fire suppressant system that uses steam to suppress and extinguish fires. This system has been used very successfully for the last 150 years in stationary applications. Now we have the technology to make it mobile.

Product Description

The invention is a mobile device that uses steam to suppress and extinguish fires. The way that this is done is with the use of a “Once Through Boiler”. The boiler is ideally suit for this for this operation because it is light in weight and compact in size and it has the ability to go from cold to full production in 3 to 5 minutes so it can be mounted on a truck chassis along with a 2 hour supply of treated water.

Steam has been used to suppress and extinguish fires for more than 100 years. It has been proven to be very efficient, quick and safe, however its use has been limited to areas were an operating boiler exists.

The patent was granted on the condition that the system be mounted on a vehicle to the frame of a vehicle. This is what makes these patents different from all other steam fire extinguisher systems.

In the initial stages of a structure fire the steam boom would penetrate a door or a window which would cause the least amount of damage to the structure. The “Once Through Boiler” would then be employed. In the case of total engulfed fire the steam would be directed toward the fire and it would be drawn into the fire with the air thereby suffocating the fire.

With the use of a “3500 lb hour Once Through Boiler” a 2500 sq. ft structure with an 8 ft ceiling could be flooded with steam in 15 minutes. The conversion ratio of water to steam is 1:1700 This would effectively extinguish A B and C type fires and the firefighters would not have to come into contact with smoke heat and carcinogenic fumes.

See attachment Steam Capacities.

The fire suppression system comprises a light weight telescoping boom telescoping from 15 to 100 ft. 360 degree rotation and a 45 degree elevation and a hydraulic operated penetrating insulated tip to insulate if from the boom to protect the boom in case of electrical contact when penetrating the structure.

Objectives

The developers of Fire Suppression System are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

Intellectual Property Protection

The Fire Suppression System is Patented in both the United States & Canada. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
